The 3-Day course focuses entirely on financial instruments. The implications of IFRS 13 on financial instrument accounting are covered. Practical examples of how to deal with the change from accounting under IAS 39 to IFRS 9 are included. There will be up-to-date coverage of the IASB’s proposed amendments to accounting for impairment and hedge accounting. A practical workshop session is included on the measurement of the fair value of simple debt and equity instruments. Participants will require laptops to work through the numerous examples and case studies.
