Industrial parks of Russian regions
On the key government meetings of 12 of November 2009 and 2 of February 2010, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev mentioned the need for the rapid national economy modernization based on the innovation technologies and regions development.
However, the growth of the innovative and investment activities in Russia continues to be slow as it was stated in the 23rd session of the Foreign Investment Advisory Council (FIAC), established in 1994 as a result of the combined efforts of the Russian government and foreign businesses to improve the investment climate in Russia.
Only some Russian regions were able to increase regional gross product and number of working places due to the construction of industrial parks and creation of special economic zones. Russian government takes actions and provides more than 2 billions of Russian rubles financing for Russian regions targeting creation of business incubators and industrial parks for the innovative enterprises. And yet there are not enough assets for the accelerated modernization of the regional economies. But those regions and their investor, which took initiative to launch industrial parks are benefit from it with glance. Volkswagen, Ford, Toyota, Volvo, Samsung, Nestle, Nokian and many others have launched their factories and plants in industrial parks in Russia. More to follow.
International investment forum “Industrial parks of Russia regions” will take place in Moscow in April 2010 to attract technologies and investments of the national and foreign investors to the innovative industrial parks of Russian regions and establish working contacts and relationships for investors with federal and regional government's leaders.
Forum attends top government persons, governors of Russian regions, international and local business leaders.
