I started in the commercial real estate industry in 1980, after receiving his real estate broker’s license. In the early to mid 80's Dan primarily worked as a loan officer placing commercial hard money loans and business loans. Over the course of the next 13 years Dan worked for mortgage and banking companies such as; Norwest Mortgage, Wells Fargo, GMAC Mortgage, Cityscape Mortgage, and Ivy Mortgage until forming his own mortgage companies in 1997.

From 1997 until 2008 Dan operated a multi-faceted mortgage company that had 150 loan officers and staff in offices located in five states. The company had three separate divisions, small commercial mortgage banking, residential mortgage origination and a servicing portfolio of private money mortgages.

With the 2008 banking fall out, Dan decided to close due to shrinking margins, higher regulations and an overall lack of lending sources.

After a few years of exploring other business interest Dan decided that the timing was right to get back into the commercial mortgage lending business. In 2011 PathStone Capital Corporation was formed
