Monitoring performance of Peugeot’s largest foreign subsidiary (UK) with sales > £1 billion: - preparation & follow up of budgets; improving the quality of financial reporting, - analysing monthly results & presenting them to head office management, - approval of fixed asset investment; appraisal of sales & marketing campaigns. Co-ordinating a team of 6 persons monitoring Peugeot’s other foreign subsidiaries: - implementing a new monthly reporting system synchronised with the Group’s reporting, - extensive use of computing software: word processing (Word) & spreadsheets (Excel).

Accounting control of the Group’s 200 subsidiaries: - ensuring that subsidiaries met the Group's stringent reporting deadlines, - supervising the Finance Directors of most European subsidiaries - developing & applying accounting requirements based on French & US GAAP & IAS, - follow-up of significant problems highlighted by the Group's consolidation team. Co-ordinating all external audit work for the Peugeot - Citroën Group: - follow-up & implementation of internal control recommendations, - restructuring the audit approach to permit much tighter reporting deadlines, - negotiating a significant fee reduction, - determining the extent of (& supervising) audit work on acquisition targets.

Extensive experience of audits & financial investigations: - consolidated & statutory financial statements, merger & acquisition reports, - planning period end accounting closures & preparing tax returns, - preparation of a large variety of financial reports & internal control recommendations, - litigation reviews, stock exchange requirements, foreign exchange operations, - training, development & motivation of audit teams of up to 15 persons. Responsible all services provided to the following prestigious publicly quoted groups: - UK: Avis, Courtaulds, Guinness, Reuters, - US: Bristol-Myers Squibb, Campbells Soups, Du Pont de Nemours, - French: Carnaud-Metalbox, Pechiney.
