My role involves: maintaining a PIB of the stocks under my coverage and their peers; build and maintain valuation models; generating trading and investment ideas which I published in my equity research which I present/distribute to our clients; informing our clients of developments that have material impact on the stocks under my coverage; writing a quarterly report on Telecoms in which I discuss the latest trends, developments and prospects; attend periodic meetings with clients to discuss their equity holdings; training and supervising the junior analysts; sign off on valuation methods used by the corporate finance office in Harare; travel into Africa on company, site and management visits; make a fortnightly guest appearance on CNBC Africa’s Regional Round Up on which I discuss the past week’s developments on Africa’s financial markets.

LiquidAfrica is a financial services and advisory operation that had recently began managing a propietary position. I worked as an equity analyst covering African (ex South Africa) stocks with a focus on banking, insurance, telecoms and plantation stocks. I also applied successful trading strategies on several stocks across my area of coverage.
