I have been a part of the financing community starting in 1995. I financed my own wide area networking business that ultimately grew to have offices in 2 states. We we were the first WAN company to provide business internet access at higher than modem speed availability in a rural area of Virginia. I grew the business customer base from zero to 500+. This opportunity provided the insight into what it takes to start, fund, develop, grow and run a successful business.

In 2003, I formally joined the financing arena working as a broker for clients in need of residential and commercial financing. I developed relationships over time that enabled me to provide financing in markets not funded by conventional sources.

One market example developed via the relationships established with sources of financing, title companies and area roofing companies allowed financing for hurricane ravaged homes that had severe roof damage. The properties included residential as well as commercial buildings that were tagged as "blue tarpers" and untouchable for conventional financing since the only roof on the building was a blue plastic tarp.

As the market place changes, so has the direction of my financing interests. The reduced liquidity in the market place overall has impacted businesses. Alternative financing options for business has become underserved. My client base has exhibited sources of accumulated hard assets but difficulty in achieving monetization of the assets due again to minimal conventional banking options.

That was the impetus to form BD Funding. BD Funding has developed into a business specifically focused on several markets. We are able to assist with connecting principals of businesses with sources of capital not ordinarily accessible via conventional financing banking methods.
