In the face of the world’s most challenging economic crisis in decades, Europe’s elite private equity professionals need to map out a direction to not only ensure private equity’s attraction as an asset class, but to crucially identify investment strategies for the next 12-24 months that will deliver maximum returns.

A select group of the world’s leading private equity players, including The Blackstone Group, Northwestern Mutual, The Carlyle Group and Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, will be meeting in Monte Carlo on the 15th-17th September to detail key priorities for the industry and highlight the most appropriate strategies for investment in 2011.  Contributing to the debate will be a selection on world-renowned law firms and service providers including Proskauer, Dechert and Global Private Equity, who will be providing thought leadership and analysis in an interactive format.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, this year’s Capital Creation will comprise keynote addresses, industry-led panel debates and peer-to-peer roundtable discussions, focusing on the most important issues surrounding private equity.  Driving the debate will be an exclusive faculty comprising over 80 leading senior-level executives who will offer the latest expert opinion on market trends, including:

Erin Harrell, Managing Director, Investor Relations, The Blackstone Group
Peter Mckellar, Chief Investment Officer, SL Capital Partners
Mark Boyle, Director, Private Equity Funds, Northwestern Mutual
Raymond Abbott, Managing Director, Alliance Trust Equity Partners
Jussi Saarinen, Investor Relations Director, EQT Partners

Bringing together over 250 attendees, the event will prove an intimate environment for networking and relationship development.  Rhonda Ryan, Managing Director and Head of Private Funds Group Europe, PineBridge Investments, who will be panellist at this year’s meeting, recently commented: "The number of attendees means that it’s very manageable to network and meet everyone you wish to meet.  From PineBridge’s point of view, the meeting offers us a real chance to meet GPs and our fellow LPs".
