Summary
Besides all my work experience in accounting, I have been called upon for my expertise and knowledge in computer and software programs. I have worked and have a knack with all accounting software and have helped set up networks in organizations (computer savvy). 99.9% of all the work I have completed in accounting, analyzing, reconciling, adhoc reports, templates, and much more have been completed in Microsoft Excel, Access, outlook, power point, and numerous other tools. I aim to please and will assemble a proficient, accurate, and forthcoming reports or reporting anyone can comprehend with a forward, a key, and /or map along with notes. Likewise, I do not believe in completing financial reporting packages that are so complicated with lavish Macros one person can break; doesn’t know what or how it works; or construct long intricate formulas no one can follow; pivot tables no ones knows where or what the information portrays; or queries that take half a day to update. I do however welcome input and ideas and have no qualms of asking my co-workers or team member for input. Below is a list of everyday, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and or yearly duties I have many years of experience with that I believe are the important skills in my arsenal:
Handled all aspects of financial reporting (full cycle).
Handled Payroll for 300 or more employees that include all payroll taxes and year-end reporting manual and/or electronic reporting. Have set up electronic reporting for W-2’s and IRS electronic submissions.
While at General Dynamics, I was called the Reconciliation Queen.
Prepared budgets, forecasts, reports, and analysis as required by management, and the timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions including account receivables, daily pull of all cash transactions, and postings.
Conducted Internal Reporting (Bud vs. Rev, Bud vs. Act). Also G/L, A/P, A/R, State Taxes, City Taxes, Canadian Taxes, Inventory, COS (cost of sales), Rev Decks, Cash Flow, Payroll Analysis, Etc.
Created/analyzed, prepared, and uploaded budgets. Evaluated existing compliance systems with respect to current regulatory requirements. Provided management with recommendations for improvements to financial or operational processes.
Analyzed source documents and regulatory guidelines accurately to determine funding propriety. Balanced revenue, expenses, and customer service to ensure availability of appropriate resources.
Set up fixed assets, amortization tables and all the other aspects in the company.
Handled all payables, receivables, inventory, shipping and receiving, pricing, purchasing/purchasing negotiations, banking transactions and investments. Analyzed actual financial performance against approved plans.
Reviewed and validated customer-funding documents to ensure accuracy of accounting classification data, and calculation of indirect and direct cost.
Worked closely with external auditors. Assisted in the analytical and/or strategic function including the development of operating plans, budgeting, planning, and forecasting. I performed monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing with 100% accuracy. Reconciled all of the Funding Accounts (Grants, Donations, etc).
Have researched and implemented an accounting and business software installation and trained those involved in all the modules that were pertinent. Have a gift in computers and software and have worked extensively with IT departments regarding networking issues, intranet, and internet possibilities to work effectively for all departments in a corporation.

I handle all the financial aspects of 3 organizations owned by Holland America based in Alaska. That is right, 3 different companies. I also complete the State and City taxes for all of Holland America based in Seattle and Alaska, which includes the Grayline of Seattle, and of Alaska. I supervised the Seasonal Interns and called upon for Excel and Access expertise and/or computer problems. Complete Financial Statements and Reporting for all 3 companies.
